About Designee

Designee makes Tamil design simple. You can make a flex banner, a wedding invitation, a shop poster or a WhatsApp status in your browser, with Tamil that prints exactly as you typed it, and send a print-ready file to any press.

Who we are

Designee is built in Tamil Nadu, India. Before Designee, our first website sold Tamil PSD designs to print shops and designers, and more than 3,000 customers bought from it. Their questions shaped Designee: why Tamil letters break in other software, which size a flex should be, why colours change in print, and how to send the right file to the press.

What Designee does

• Design editor: flex banners in feet, invitations, notices, visiting cards and social media posts, in the browser. 15 Tamil Unicode fonts and 8 English fonts, all free for commercial use.
• Print-ready PDF: CMYK colours, 3 mm bleed and crop marks, with a Print check that warns about low-resolution photos, text too close to the edge and colours that fade in print.
• PSD library: more than 8,000 editable Tamil PSD designs for Photoshop, with the fonts listed for each design.
• Video templates: Premiere Pro and After Effects projects for weddings, festivals and shops.
• Tamil font converter: Unicode to and from Bamini, TAM, TAB, TSCII, Shree-Lipi, Miracle RGB, Dinak and KA.
• Free designer tools: background remover, image upscaler, QR codes, passport photos, PDF tools and more.
• Lessons: short video lessons in Tamil.

Who it's for

• Print shops and DTP centres that make dozens of designs a day and need files the press accepts the first time.
• Small businesses that want their own posters, offers and festival greetings without hiring a designer for each one.
• Creators who post on WhatsApp, Instagram and YouTube every day.
• Families making an invitation or a birthday flex for someone they love.

What we care about

• Tamil done right. Conjuncts like க்ஷ and ஸ்ரீ, and letters like டி and லூ, print exactly as typed.
• Honest pricing. Free to start. Prices include GST, and every payment has a GST invoice.
• Your files are yours. PSD files are delivered exactly as we received them, and the font converter works inside your browser, so your text never leaves your computer.
