Questions
- Why does my Tamil text break in Photoshop?
- Older versions of Photoshop and many DTP fonts cannot shape Unicode Tamil, so letters like கொ or ஸ்ரீ come out in the wrong order. Convert the text to TSCII and use a TSCII font instead.
- Is the converter free?
- Yes. Typing and pasting text is free and unlimited, and you do not need an account.
- Is my text sent to a server?
- No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser; your text never leaves your device.
- Some letters stay in Unicode. Why?
- A few letters, mostly rare grantha forms, do not exist in TSCII fonts. The converter lists them so you can replace them.
- Which fonts use TSCII?
- Fonts such as TSCII fonts (e.g. TSC_Avarangal, TSC_Paranar, Mylai). After converting, choose one of them for the text in your design software.
