Questions
- Why does my Tamil text break in Photoshop?
- Older versions of Photoshop and many DTP fonts cannot shape Unicode Tamil, so letters like கொ or ஸ்ரீ come out in the wrong order. Convert the text to Bamini and use a Bamini font instead.
- Is the converter free?
- Yes. Typing and pasting text is free and unlimited, and you do not need an account.
- Is my text sent to a server?
- No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser; your text never leaves your device.
- Some letters stay in Unicode. Why?
- A few letters, mostly rare grantha forms, do not exist in Bamini fonts. The converter lists them so you can replace them.
- Which fonts use Bamini?
- Fonts such as BAMINI-Tamil01 … BAMINI-Tamil87, Bamini*. After converting, choose one of them for the text in your design software.
