Convert whole files

Convert Word, text and CSV files between Unicode Tamil and the fonts your press uses. Word files keep their bold, sizes, tables, headers and footers. Files are converted in your browser and never uploaded. For a few lines, use the free converter.

Good to know

  • Old fonts keep Tamil letters on the English keys, so a cell or paragraph that mixes English into old-font Tamil can’t come back as English. In CSV files, choose only the Tamil columns; in Word files, English in its own font (like Times New Roman) is left alone.
  • For an old .doc file, open it in Word and choose Save As → Word Document (.docx) first.
  • Text files in old fonts are saved in the ANSI encoding those fonts use; Unicode files are saved as UTF-8, which Notepad and Excel read correctly.
